Organic Icelandic Sheep and Handfelted Wearables

Windy Hamlet Farm, located on 50 acres in the charming central Massachusetts town of West Brookfield, is truly a family farm. Our extended family of Icelandic sheep, who are famous for their earth tone fleece, provide us with the wool to produce truly unique felted clothing.

Felting is an ancient craft that predates weaving. At Windy Hamlet we felt hats, shawls, scarves, rugs and wall hangings. Our Icelandic wool and dyed Merino is used for all of our creations. The results are colorful, abstract and very warm. The shawls are especially cozy to wear in the house on a cold New England Winter's day!

CUSTOM WORK   We have had great success creating custom pieces for our customers. The pieces have included hats, shawls, rugs and wall hangings for customers as close as Hardwick, MA to New York to Texas and California. We now have the ability, due to our natural hand-dyeing, to create any color desired. We also can create and design floral, animal or even  persons into the piece. Our style is a bit folky so keep that in mind when contacting us.  Abstract designs are possible as well. Please contact us if interested, or visit us at any of the venues listed on our calendar page.
